Case in Point: Chelten HouseOverview: Chelten House Products, Inc., is an organic food manufacturer, based in Bridgeport, N.J., poised to expand to the West Coast. They employ over 140 people, and anticipate adding an additional 40-plus in their new facility in Nevada.

Situation: Chelten House Products was faced with a challenge that many small and mid-sized companies experience as they grow: An increasing number of employees means additional Chelten House requirements related to the HR function. This company's growth also brought a need for a more automated time and attendance system. Both payroll and HR solutions needed to be comprehensive and affordable.

Solution: Since 2008, PROXUS has provided personalized service for payroll, as well as HR services. Chelten House now has a PROXUS HR Generalist three days a week and an HR Director to provide guidance on strategic and complex issues. In addition, PROXUS has provided workforce training, developed customized employment tools, assumed benefits administration and provided market analysis for Chelten House's new Nevada facility.   <<Read more>>

Employers with more than 100 employees, or those with federal contracts and more than 50 employees may be required to submit an EEO-1 report with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The deadline for these annual reports is Sept. 30, 2012.
