Greg Gast, SPHR, Principal

Gregory A. Gast, SPHR is a consultant, entrepreneur and human resource expert. He has invested the majority of his professional career in organizational problem-solving, developing and implementing human resource strategies and effectively communicating key values and skills to individuals and groups at all levels. After numerous years as a Human Resource leader and executive, Greg recognized the need in the marketplace for quality HR services delivered on an outsourced basis to small and mid-sized firms. He responded in 1998 by starting Granatt HR, a human resource management and consulting company. Since that time Granatt HR has provided outsourced and project based HR services to hundreds of companies of all sizes and industries. Under Greg’s direction, Granatt HR introduced innovative solutions for developing employee handbooks, conducting HR audits, creating performance management systems and delivering outsourced “shared” services. He later established Granatt Benefit Solutions in 2004 to provide group insurance benefits to his clients. Then in 2006, Greg co-founded and served as Principal of PROXUS LLC which is a joint venture of Granatt HR and Professional Payroll Solutions. PROXUS utilizes the expertise of both partners to provide the full range of payroll, human resource and employee benefit solutions for mid-market organizations.

In 2010, Greg received recognition for his extensive accomplishments and contributions to the field of Human Resources when he was named the first recipient of the Delaware Valley HR Consultant of the Year Award. His leadership skills have also been recognized through his service in roles such as President of the Fort Washington Business Alliance and a board member of the Institute of Management Consultants – Philadelphia chapter. His church related work ranges from Elder to Deacon and Staff-Parish Relations as well as preaching and teaching.

As a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Greg has held the highest level certification in the profession since 1998 and is a licensed health and life insurance producer. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster and Master’s degree from John Carroll University. He is presently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Christian Leadership at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Greg is a committed Christian businessman who endeavors to have his faith guide his relationships and actions. In order to more fully engage in the guidance and support of companies and individuals who are striving to integrate their faith and values with their work, Greg turned over the management and ownership of Granatt HR to his long-time partner Jeff Green in 2012. Greg remains as Senior Advisor to the firm.
